Each of these films deserves its space on a "top 10" list about veterans, PTSD, reintegration and healing; or dealing with grief and loss. BUT, there's more, some of which aren't available as DVDs. For military sexual trauma, for instance, there are the "big three:" "The Invisible War," which is listed; "Service: When Women Come Marching Home," and "Justice Denied," both of which are available in other forms. Taken together, they give a very complete picture of the military sexual assault problem today, for men and women as survivors. There's also a good film called "The Welcome," about homecoming and reintegration in community that isn't available on DVD yet.
Favorite movie for understanding re-integration after combat? It's here. Best movie for understanding that women serve in combat today, and the issues that affect them? It's here too. Enjoy!
